The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on July 13, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Terms and Conditions of Tariff for the period commencing from April 01, 2024 – Approach Paper thereof.
The following was stated: -
•Any suggestions/feedback from the stakeholders and electricity industry players on the approach paper for Terms and Conditions of Tariff was to be taken till July 15, 2023.
•Any comments and suggestions, on the compensation methodology for operating thermal (coal) generating unit(s) below the 55% minimum power level, were invited from the stakeholders by July 15, 2023.
•Representations were received from some stakeholders to extend the last date for submission of the requisite information.
•Considering the difficulties faced by the stakeholders, the last date for submission of the information is extended to July 31, 2023.
