Industry Specific Compliance The Government of Madhya Pradesh on July 12, 2023, issued the Madhya Pradesh Profession Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2023 to further amend Madhya Pradesh Profession Tax Act, 1995.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Section 23 which states “Offences” has been Omitted

• Section 24 which states “Offences by Companies” has been Omitted

• Section 26 which states “Bar of prosecution where penalty imposed” has been omitted.

It will come into force from the date its published in the gazette.
