The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on July 18, 2023, issued a notification regarding draft provisions of Green Credit Programme Implementation Rules, 2023.
The Ministry vide S.O. 2779 (E) dated June 26, 2023, issued a notification containing draft provisions of Green Credit Programme Implementation Rules, 2023, under sub-section 2(iii) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
The Central Government hereby fixes July 31, 2023, as the last date for seeking suggestions or comments, instead of the notice period of sixty days as mentioned in the draft notification, in order to give effect to the final notification for promotion of voluntary environmental actions.
