The Government of Assam on July 12, 2023, issued a notification regarding prohibiting strikes in the State of Assam by the officers, Workmen, Contract Labour, tankers, Driver and also Khalasi involved in the service in the Oil and Gas Sector.
It is hereby pleased to prohibit strikes in the State of Assam for a period of another 6 (six) months from July 07, 2023, to December 31, 2023, by the officers, Workmen, Contract Labour, Tanker, Driver and also Khalasi involved in the service in the Oil and Gas Sector falling within the following category as per provisions of item (xii) of clause (b) of sub-section (1of section 2 of Essential Services Maintenance (Assam) Act, 1980 viz-(1) Any service in any Oil field of Refinery of any establishment or undertaking dealing with the production supply or distribution of Petroleum and Petroleum Products including Natural Gas
