The Cabinet Secretariat on July 17, 2023, issued the Government of India (Allocation of Business) (Three Hundred and Seventy-First Amendment) Rules, 2023 further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961 further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In the Second Schedule,-
o under the heading “MINISTRY OF ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (ELECTRONIC AUR SOOCHANA PRAUDYOGIKI MANTRALAYA)”, for entry ‘2A. Promotion of Digital Transactions including Digital Payments.’, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-
“2A. Promotion of Digital Transactions excluding Digital Payments.”;
o under the heading “MINISTRY OF FINANCE (VITTA MANTRALAYA)”, under sub-heading “E. DEPARTMENT OF FINANCIAL SERVICES (VITTIYA SEWAYEN VIBHAG)”, after entry 8, the following entry shall be inserted, namely:-
“8A. Promotion of Digital Payments.”.
They shall come into force at once.
