The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, (MoCF), on July 17, 2023, notified the 100 Percent Polyester Spun Grey and White Yarn (Quality Control) Order, 2023 in supersession of the 100 Percent Polyester Spun Grey and White Yarn (Quality Control) Order, 2022.
The following has been stated-
•Standards compliance and the requirement to use the Standard Mark— In accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018, the goods or articles specified in column (1) of the Table attached to the document shall comply with the corresponding Indian Standard given in column (2) and bear the title of the Indian Standard in column (3) of the said Table attached to the document, Additionally, they shall bear the Standard Mark.
•The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority with regard to the items or articles listed in column (1) of the Table attached to the document.
•Penalty for violation—Anyone who violates the terms of this order will be held accountable under the provisions of the said act.
It shall come into force on October 05, 2023.
It shall apply to goods or articles specified in column (1) of the Table below and shall not apply to goods or articles meant for export.
