The Department of Telecommunication (DoT) on July 21, 2023, issued a notification inviting public comments for the adoption of TSDSI adopted ATSC 3.0 standards into National Standard by Telecommunications Engineering Centre (TEC).
Endorsed a plan for the adoption of telecom standards, Standards developed by the International Standards Organisations and the Standards Development Society of India (TSDSI). "Standardisation Guide" is a guideline for standardisation adoption/ratification of TSDSI/international standards defined by telecom and related ICT standards in terms of institutional mechanisms, the adoption process, standard maintenance, numbering plans, stakeholder consultation, etc.
In its meeting on July 18, 2023, the Telecom Standards Advisory Group (TSAC), a standing apex group led by DDG (Standardisation), resolved to start the process of converting the ATSC 3.0 standards adopted by TSDSI into national standards.
All the stakeholders are requested to mail their comments by August 20, 2023.
