The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi on July 21, 2023, notified the Delhi Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of service of President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Amendment Rules, 2023 further to amend the Delhi Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances, and conditions of service of President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2022.
The following has been amended: -
•In sub-section (4) of the section 4 Rules the following proviso is added which states that Any person appointed as President or, as the case may be a member of the State Commission appointed under the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 shall be entitled to the same salary and allowances payable to the Presidents/Members of the State/District Commissions appointed under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and subsequently Delhi Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of Service of President and Members of State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2022 with effect from the date of appointment of the incumbents selected under the new Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the official Gazette.
