The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on July 24, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Timelines for the Digitisation of Paper CAFs by the Licensee
The following has been stated namely: -
• it has been directed to intimate that the Licensees shall complete the activity of digitization of Paper CAF (including associated documents) by August 30, 2023
• It further states that The Licensees shall submit only digitized copies of Paper CAFs (including associated documents) in respective LSAs as part of the monthly CAF audit i.e. October 01, 2023 Thereafter, if the licensee submits Paper CAFs or scanned copies of CAFs (not properly digitized as per instructions dated October 11, 2021), then it shall be treated as procedural lapse and action shall be taken as per existing instructions i.e., instructions dated June 19, 2020 on the subject "The distinction between Procedural & Substantive lapses w. r. t. CAF verification guidelines.
