The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFC) on July 26, 2023, issued a notification regarding the extension to apply online for the grant of Terms of Reference (ToR) and Environment Clearance under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
The amendment states the following namely: -
•The Central Government has extended the deadline for applying for the ToR by an additional period of six months. This extension has been made under the powers conferred by section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
•The units can now apply for the grant of ToR within one year and six months from July 20, 2022, which was the initial date.
