The Government of Karnataka on July 27, 2023, notified the Karnataka State Road Safety Authority (Amendment) Act, 2023 further to amend the Karnataka State Road Safety Authority Act, 2017.
The following has been amended namely: -
•In section 12 subsection (2) the following shall be inserted, namely: - clause (f) which talks about other sources of funding as may be prescribed.
•In section 14 subsection (3), for the words “All amounts forming part of the Fund shall be deposited in any nationalized bank,” the words “The fund shall be administered through Reserve Fund maintained in the treasury or Bank account maintained in the nationalized bank” shall be substituted.
•In section 18 of the Principal Act, for the word and figures “section 13” the word and figures “section 16” shall be substituted.
it shall come into force at once.
