The Government of Tamil Nadu on July 21, 2023, issued a notification to amend the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Construction Workers) Welfare Scheme, 1994.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In clause 15, –
o in sub-clause (1), in the TABLE, in Serial Numbers 8 and 9, in column (3), after the expression “(Every academic year)”, the expression “(Except the professional courses in serial number 12)” shall, respectively, be added;
o After sub-clause (3), the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely: -
“(3-a) The application for assistance specified in Serial Number 12 shall be in Form EE (1) in Schedule II to be submitted after successful admission or before completion or passing of the course.”;
• In Schedule II, after Form EE, Form EE (1) has been inserted.
