The Government of Karnataka on July 27, 2023, notified the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements (Amendment) Act, 2023 to further amend the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999.
The following has been amended-
• In section 6, in the first proviso, for the words and figures “Rs.50.00 Lakhs”, the words and figures “Rs.1.00 crore”, shall be substituted.
• Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 (Karnataka Ordinance 02 of 2023) is hereby repealed.
It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from March 29, 2023.
