The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) on July 27, 2023, issued a clarification of GIS and Hybrid GIS Switchgears.
As some utilities are purchasing 33 KV & 11 KV hybrid GIS switchgear under the guise of GIS switchgear, CEA has received some references regarding clarifications on full GIS (GIS) and hybrid GIS switchgear.
In order to have more clarity, a draft note has been prepared to incorporate the definition of GIS and Hybrid GIS switchgear along with advantages & disadvantages. The same is attached to this document for comments/ suggestions.
All the Stakeholders are requested to send their comments/ suggestions on a draft note to Chief Engineer (DP&T), Sewa Bhawan (North Wing), Room No. 611, 6th Floor, R. K. Puram, New Delhi-110066 by post or through e-mail ([email protected]) latest by September 12, 2023.
