The Cabinet Secretariat on July 31, 2023, notified the Government of India (Allocation of Business) (Three Hundred and Seventy-Second Amendment) Rules, 2023 further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961.
The following has been amended: -
•In the Second Schedule, under the heading “MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING (SOOCHANA AUR PRASARAN MANTRALAYA)”-
a) for entry 22A. Films and Audio-Visual programs made available by online content providers.”, the following entry shall be substituted, namely: - “22A. Films and Audio-Visual programs/content made available by online content providers/publishers.”
b) after entry 22B, the following entry shall be inserted, namely: - “22C. Online advertisements.”.
They shall come into force at once.
