Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on July 27, 2023, issued the Amendment to the Unified Access Services License Agreement (UASL) for restriction to enter in exclusive contract with any public entity or any person.

The following has been amended namely: -

• Under 40. Which states “Prohibition of certain activities by the licensee” the following condition shall be inserted:

“Licensee shall not enter into any exclusive contract for establishing public network to provide public telecom services or Right of Way (RoW) with any Public entity or any Person.”

• In Annexure-I the following definitions have been inserted namely: -

1. 46-A which defines “Person”

2. 49-A which defines “Public entity”
