The Ministry of Cooperation on August 04, 2023, notified the Multi-State Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Rules, 2023 further to amend the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Rules, 2002.
The following has been amended: -
•In the principal rules, after Chapter 2, the following Chapter shall be inserted, namely: — Chapter 2A Prudential Norms for Multi-State Co-Operative Societies.
•In the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Rules, 2002, (hereinafter referred to as the principal rules), in rule 2, — (i) after clause (ii), the following clause shall be inserted, namely: — ‘(iib) Chairperson means the Chairperson of the Co-operative Election Authority established under subsection (1) of section 45.
They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
