The Government of Karnataka on August 07, 2023, notified the Factories (Karnataka Amendment) Act, 2023 to further amend the Factories Act, 1948 in its application to the State of Karnataka.
The following has been amended-
•Amendment of section 54 which states Daily hour
•Amendment of section 55 which states Intervals for rest
•Amendment of section 56 which states Spread over
•Amendment of section 59 which states Extra wages for overtime
•Amendment of section 65 which states the Power to make exempting orders
•Amendment of section 66 which states Further restrictions on the employment of women
