The Government of Meghalaya on July 11, 2023, notified Rules of Executive Business of the Government of the State of Meghalaya (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Rules of Executive Business of the Government of the State of Meghalaya, 1972.
The following has been amended-
Amendment of Part III For "F-PLANNING DEPARTMENT" appearing in.Part III, of Rule 58 the following Rule shall be substituted, namely.
F-PLANNING INVESTMENT PROMOTION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
58(1) The Planning, Investment Promotion and Sustainable Development Department shall be responsible for strategic planning to achieve desired developmental goals and objectives.
(2) The Planning, Investment Promotion and Sustainable Development Department shall be involved in the mobilization of resources from various funding agencies for the creation of infrastructure assets, welfare schemes and other important initiatives of the State Government.
(3) The Planning, Investment Promotion and Sustainable Development Department shall be responsible for working out a strategy towards achieving sustainable development and good governance.
(4) The Planning Investment Promotion and Sustainable Development Department shall be consulted for advice by Departments on matters relating to the formulation of new schemes and programmes as and when required.
(5) The Planning Investment Promotion and Sustainable Development Department shall conduct periodic assessment/reviews of key important schemes and projects.
