The Government of Andhra Pradesh on August 07, 2023, issued a notification to declare a local holiday to facilitate the employees of public and private undertakings/firms located in the areas notified for elections.
The State Election Commissioner issued a notification on August 06, 2023, to hold Elections for casual vacancies of Sarpanch and Ward Members of Gram Panchayats in the State.
The elections for casual vacancies of Sarpanch and Ward Members of Gram Panchayats Polling will be held on August 19, 2023.
The Government consider that the management of the firms may be requested that all the employees working in respective areas of the election have some time off, say three hours, during the poll hours on polling days to enable them to exercise their franchise.
