The Government of Haryana on July 24, 2023, issued a Public Notice regarding Regulations for the use of DG sets in NCR districts of Haryana.
The following has been stated: -
•The Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) issued Direction no. 73 regarding regulations for the use of DG sets in the NCR.
•The CAQM directed that new regulations of DG sets would come into force in the entire NCR strictly w.e.f. October 01, 2023, and retro-fitment of dual fuel kits or ECDs, wherever warranted, must be targeted to be completed latest by September 30, 2023, failing which the use of the diesel gen-sets shall not be permitted under any circumstances, anywhere in the entire NCR.
•The public notice for publication as per Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP) rates in two leading Hindi and English newspapers published before July 31, 2023, and between August 01 to August 15, 2023, circulated in NCR districts of Haryana, with a request to forward the bills for payment along with the original newspapers, please.
•And all stakeholders using DG sets in the NCR have to comply with the above-said Direction of CAQM well before September 30, 2023, failing which action will be taken as per law.
