The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) on August 05, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Draft Regulations under the Electricity Act, 2003.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The following Drafts have been issued namely: -
1. Draft MERC ((Distribution Open Access) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2023,
2. Draft MERC (Grid Interactive Rooftop Renewable Energy Generating Systems) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2023
3. Draft MERC (RPO, its Compliance and implementation of REC framework) (First Amendment) Regulations 2023.
• Suggestions or objections on the draft amendment Regulations may be uploaded through the ‘E-Public Consultation’ Tab on MERC Website.
• Persons who do not have access to electronic media can file their suggestions and objections in a hard copy addressed to ‘The Secretary’, Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC)
• The last date to file suggestions/objections is before 5 PM on August 25, 2023.
