The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) on August 10, 2023, notified the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Amendment) Rules, 2023 further to amend the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017.
The following has been amended: -
•In the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017, in rule 15, in sub-rule (1), after clause (f), the following clause shall be inserted, namely: - “(g) Accessibility Standards for HealthCare, notified by the Government of India in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, vide notification number F.No. T.21017/20/2021-NCD.I (NPPCD)/Part., dated May 04, 2023.”
They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
