Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on August 11, 2023, notified the Wood Based Boards (Quality Control) Order, 2023.

The following has been stated: -

•Rule 2 provides for the Compulsory use of Standard Marks.

•Rule 3 talks about the Certification and enforcement authority.

•Rule 4 lays down the Penalty for contravention which is similar to the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.

It shall come into force with effect from six months from the date of notification.
