The Government of Karnataka on August 08, 2023, issued a notification regarding the limit on the supply of diesel fisheries.
Hereby waives, effective as of August 01, 2023, the tax that a dealer would otherwise be required to pay on the sale of diesel with a volume not to exceed 1,33,333 kilo litres (One lakh thirty-three thousand three hundred thirty-three kilo litres) for use in fishing activities as per monthly invoices issued by the Director of Fisheries, Government of Karnataka.
The tax due by a dealer under Section 5 of Karnataka Sales Tax Act, 1957 on the sale of diesel up to 1,33,333 kilo litres (One lakh thirty-three thousand three hundred thirty-three kilo litres) for the period from August 1, 2023, is therefore free.
