The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on August 10, 2023, issued the Domestic Gas Stoves for Use with Piped Natural Gas (Quality Control) Order, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Domestic Gas Stoves for use with Piped Natural Gas (PNG) shall conform to Indian Standard 17153:2019.
• The Bureau shall be the certifying and enforcing authority
• Any person who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be punishable
• The Title for the Indian Standard 17153:2019 is Domestic Gas Stoves for use with Piped Natural Gas (PNG)
This shall come into force with effect from six months from August 10, 2023
Provided that for Small Enterprises, it shall come into force with effect from Nine months from August 10, 2023.
Provided that for Micro Enterprises, it shall come into force with effect from Twelve months from August 10, 2023.
