The Ministry of Law and Justice (MoL&J) on August 11, 2023, notified the National Dental Commission Act, 2023.
The act is as follows: -
•Section 2 lays down various definitions like Dental Assessment and Rating Board, dental institution.
•Section 4 talks about the Commission shall consist of the following persons to be appointed by the Central Government, namely: A Chairperson, eight ex officio Members, and twenty-four part-time Members.
•Section 5 lays down the Search-cum-Selection Committee for appointment of Chairperson and Members.
It extends to the whole of India.
