The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) on August 11, 2023, issued a notification regarding a unique central database of persons with disabilities, recognition of UDID cards across the territory of the Union of India and potential benefits.
Under the Scheme, a unique central database of persons with disabilities, recognition of UDID card across the territory of the Union of India and potential benefits which may arise from time to time due to linking of various Government schemes with UDID card is given to persons with disabilities who are below the age of 18 years as per the Scheme and extend guidelines issued there under-
•In pursuance of the provisions of section 7 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 mentioned in the document attached.
