The Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) on August 10, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Implementation SETT Level III for the printing of 2D Bar code on the unit level of explosives (except detonators)
The following has been stated namely: -
• This has a reference to the circular of even no. dated June 15, 2023, intimated that the SETT level III will be implemented w.e.f. July 15, 2023
• It states that All the explosives manufacturers are advised to stop the manufacture of explosives products (except detonators) which are not on board for the application of 2D Bar code in SETT Level III.
• It states that In case, any manufacturer is found manufacturing explosives without printing 2D Bar code on the unit level of explosives will be treated as unauthorized manufacture and action as deemed fit for non-compliance of the provision stipulated under rule 24(5) of Explosives Rules, 2008.
