The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on August 11, 2023, notified the commencement date for certain regulations of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Sharing of Inter-State Transmission Charges and Losses) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2023.
The following has been notified:
• The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Sharing of Inter-State Transmission Charges and Losses) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2023 shall come into force with effect from October 01, 2023;
• The Billing, Collection and disbursement of the inter-State transmission charges and losses for the billing period of October 2023 shall be undertaken in the billing month of December 2023 in accordance with the Principal Regulations as amended by First Amendment Regulations and the process for the subsequent billing period shall be followed accordingly;
• The Billing, Collection and disbursement of the inter-State transmission charges and losses for the billing period of August 2023 and September 2023 shall be undertaken in the billing months of October 2023 and November 2023 respectively, in accordance with the provisions of the Principal Regulations notified on July 01, 2020.
