The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on August 04, 2023, issued a notification regarding the standardization in the format of Driving Licence and International Driving Permit (IDP).
The following has been stated namely: -
• To maintain uniformity of driving licences and International Drivers permits (lDP) being issued by various States/UTs, the following has been stated to all the states and UTs
1. Ensure that the Driving Licence be issued/renewed in (Form-7) as standardised vide G.S.R. 174 (E) dated March 01, 2019.
2. Ensure that lDP be issued in Form 6A as substituted vide GSR No. 660(E) dated August 26, 2022.
