The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on August 14, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Number of partitions to be increased from 6 to 8 in the equity and equity derivatives segment.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The number of partitions in the equity and equity derivatives segment is being increased from 6 to 8.
• The increase in the partition will be in effect from August 21, 2023
• The partition information is also provided in the equity segment’s scrip master file (SCRIP_DDMMYYY.txt). Similarly, the same information is provided in the equity derivatives master file (EQD_CODDMMYY.csv).
• All ETI applications which are making use of partition ID for the retransmission of orders, trades, and other messages which are partition oriented are to make necessary changes.
• Exchange will gradually move a few products from the existing 6 partitions to partitions 7 and 8 over the period. The change of partition will be updated in the scrip_DDMMYY.txt file and EQD_CODDMMYY.csv whenever a product is moved from one partition to another.
• Exchange has partition-wise EOBI/EMDI multicast streams and thus movement of a product from one partition to another would mean that the market data for that product will not be available from the multicast stream of the partition where it originally belonged, but will be available in the new partition where it has been moved.
• Refer to the BOLTPLUS Configuration file for details on the partition-wise multicast stream of EMDI and EOBI.
