The Pollution Control Board, Assam (PCBA) on August 11, 2023, issued a notification regarding National Hazardous Waste Tracking System.
Central Pollution Control Board has developed an online portal namely "National Hazardous Waste Tracking System (NHWTS)" for tracking the generation, transportation, storage, recycling, utilization and disposal of Hazardous waste in the Country.
In this regard, all Hazardous Waste Occupiers in the State of Assam involved in the generation, recycling, utilization, co-processing, pre-processing and or disposal of Hazardous waste and other wastes under the purview of the Hazardous & Other waste (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 are hereby directed to get themselves registered on the portal within 15 (fifteen) working days.
