Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on August 14, 2023, issued a notification to amend Notification No. 18/2022-Central Excise, dated July 19, 2022, related to the Special Additional Excise Duty on the production of Petroleum Crude.

The following amendments have been stated:

• In the Table, against S. No. 1, for the entry in column (4), the entry “Rs. 7,100 per tonne” shall be substituted.

• against S. No. 2, for the entry in column (4), the entry “Rs. 2 per litre” shall be substituted.

This notification shall come into force from August 15, 2023.
