Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on August 14, 2023, issued an amendment to Notification No. 04/2022 – Central Excise, dated June 30, 2022, which states “Exemption of Special Additional Excise Duty leviable on Petrol and High speed diesel oil”

The following has been amended namely: -

• Against S.No.2, which states “High speed diesel oil” for the entry in column (4), the entry “Rs. 5.50 per litre” shall be substituted.

This shall come into force on August 15, 2023.
