The Government of Lakshadweep on August 07, 2023, issued a notification regarding the prohibition of all activities related to the unscientific handling of cattle and unscientific slaughter of cattle
The following has been stated namely: -
• It prohibits all activities related to the unscientific handling of cattle, the unscientific slaughter of cattle, improper disposal of leftover meat in the open, and slaughter of cattle by unlicensed establishments in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep.
• It states that in case Any person or establishment is aggrieved by this order, shall Show Cause before the undersigned within 7 days from the date of issue of this order as to why this order shall not be made final.
