The State Pollution Control Board, Odisha (OSPCB) on August 09, 2023, issued a notification regarding the revised classification of industrial units has been done by State Pollution Control Board, Odisha as per criteria and guidelines of the Central Pollution Control Board and this Board has brought out office orders from time to time in this regard.
As per CPCB direction dated April 30, 2020, regarding the harmonization of classification of the industrial sector into ROGW categories "Compressed/refined Bio-Gas production from Bio-degradable Wastes" has been categorized under Serial No. 86 of the Orange category.
The revised categorization, which shall supersede the earlier categorization at Sl. No. 86 (Orange) i.e., from "Compressed/refined Bio-Gas production from Bio-degradable Wastes" to "Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG)/Bio -CNG Plants" and "household bio-digesters/Gobar Gas (Cow Dung) plants based on bio-degradable waste etc.".
