The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on August 17, 2023, notified the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Sixth Amendment) Order, 2023 further to amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
The following has been amended: -
•Schedule VI of the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 which lays down the List of plants/plant materials permitted import with additional declarations and special conditions the following has been amended against serial number 564, relating to “Persea americana (Avocado)” in column (3) against the entry (v) regarding “Fresh Fruit for Consumption”, after the existing entries the following entries in columns (4), (5) and (6) shall respectively be inserted.
