Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on August 19, 2023, issued a notification regarding an effective export duty of 40% on onions till December 31, 2023.

The following has been stated in the table:

“1 (SI. No.) –070310 (Sub-heading or tariff item) – Onions (Description of Goods) – 40% (Rate of Duty)”

This notification shall come into force with immediate effect and will remain in force up to December 31, 2023.
