The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on August 21, 2023, issued a notification to Ensure the availability and functionality of medical equipment in all ESIC Institutions.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Immediate necessary action to ensure the availability and functionality of medical equipment in all ESIC Institutions was in order to reduce/minimize referrals in ESIC Institutions.
• All Heads of ESIC Institutions are to evaluate the requirement and take necessary action for procurement of requisite equipment as per the demand of the hospital/institute as per DOP of Dean/MS and ESIC norms with the concurrence of local finance and accounts so as to minimize referral cases and for holistic/comprehensive improvement of medical facilities.
• Further all Deans/MS should ensure optimal functionality and utilization of installed medical equipment at respective ESIC Institution/User unit.
