The Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD) on August 22, 2023, issued a notification regarding the additional release order of 2 LMT for the month of August 2023.
It has been directed that every producer of sugar by vacuum pan process, shall hold white/refined sugar stock at the end of August 2023, as per the following: -
"Opening stock as of August 01, 2023, Plus (+) Production during the month of August 2023 minus (-) Domestic dispatch in the month of August 2023 not exceeding the quantity as mentioned in column (7) of the table below against respective sugar mill minus (-) Dispatch for export during the month of August 2023"
