The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on August 21, 2023, issued a notification regarding the declaration of certain services as essential under the Haryana Essential Services Maintenance Act 1974 as extended to the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
The following has been stated: -
•The Home Department declared the services of Ground Handling at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi as essential services and prohibited the strike of all employees of the Ground Handling Service Provider at the IGIA, Delhi as well as the employees of Delhi International Airport Ltd who provide the services of ground handling at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.
•Therefore, it declared that the above services are essential services for another period of six months w.e.f. September 24, 2023, up to March 23, 2024.
