The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, (MoRTH) on August 25, 2023, published a notification regarding the amendment to notification no. S.O.1365(E) dated December 13, 2004, related to the Validity of specification of standards to be used by manufacturers in the manufacturing of motor vehicle
The following has been amended namely: -
• In the said notification, - in Table, -
(i) In serial number 8, for item number (d) and the entries relating thereto, the following item number and entries shall be substituted, namely: -
“(d)Wheel rims fitted in all trailers and semi-trailers”,” IS 9438-2018. 22nd December, 2023.”;
(ii) In serial number 43, for item numbers (b), (c), and (d) and the entries relating thereto, The following item numbers and entries shall be substituted, namely: -
“(b) Automotive Vehicles Wheel Rims for Two and Three Wheeled Vehicles: Light Alloy Wheel Rims - Method of Tests and Requirements’, ‘IS 16192 Part 1 2014’, ‘22nd December, 2023’”.
“(c) Automotive Vehicles Wheel Rims for Two and Three-Wheeled Vehicles: Sheet Metal Wheel Rims - Method of Tests and Requirements’,’ IS 16192 Part 2 2014’, ‘22nd December, 2023’”.
“(d) Automotive Vehicles Wheel Rims for Two and Three-Wheeled Vehicles: Spoke Wheel Rims - Method of Tests and Requirements’,’ IS 16192 Part 3 2018’,’22nd December, 2023.”
