The Department of Labour and Employment, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu on August 18, 2023, issued the revised minimum rates of wages payable to the different categories of employees.
The following has been stated namely: -
• As long as this notification is in force, the rates of such special allowance shall be adjusted by the Competent Authority, at the interval of every six months commencing from October 01 and April 01 on the basis of the average cost of Living Index Number for preceding period for six months ending on June 30 and December 31, respectively as notified from time to time.
• The table with the Classes of employees with the basic rate, Special allowance, and total are mentioned as follows:
1. Skilled – 462.00
2. Semiskilled – 452.00
3. Unskilled – 441.00
• The List of Scheduled Employees has been stated as follows: -
1. Employment in Automobiles Repairing, Workshops and Garages
2. Employment in Bakeries
3. Employment in Bobbin Industry
4. Employment in Bone Crushing Industry
5. Employment in any Oil Mill
6. Employment in any Pharmaceuticals Industry
