The Daman Municipal Council on August 21, 2023, issued a notification regarding the delivering of waste that is not segregated and not stored in separate bins for individual households.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The table with the user charges has been inserted in the notification namely: -
1. Grocery, Departmental and other shops – Rs. 150 per unit/per month
2. Hotel and Restaurants – Rs. 500 per unit/per month
3. Schools and Colleges – Rs. 150 per unit/per month
4. Others (Commercials) – Rs. 50 to Rs. 100 per unit/per month
• This will be in addition to the property tax applicable on the respected premise. The user charge will be collected by the Supervisor of the particular ward on a monthly basis.
