Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on August 25, 2023, notified the Cast Iron Products (Quality Control) Order, 2023.

The order is as follows: -

•Rule 2 talks about the Compulsory use of Standard Mark.

•Rule 3 talks about the Certification and Enforcement Authority which is the Bureau of Indian Standards.

•Rule 4 lays down the Penalty for Contravention.

It shall come into force on the expiry of six months from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
