The Government of Haryana on August 24, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Sonipat Metropolitan Development Authority Bill, 2023.
The following has been stated: -
•Section 2 gives various definitions of the terms like “Authority” “board “Chief Executive Officer” etc.
•Section 3 talks about the Declaration of the Sonipat Metropolitan Area.
•Section 4 talks about the Establishment of Authority.
•Section 5 talks about the Constitution of Authority.
It shall come into force on such date, as the State Government may, by notification, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in any such provision of this Act to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision.
