The Government of Tamil Nadu on August 22, 2023, issued a notification regarding amending the Tamil Nadu Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1959.
This shall come into force on September 05, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In the said Rule which states “Returns” In rule-35B, in the proviso to sub-rule (1), for the words “twenty percentages” the words “fifty percentages” shall be substituted;
• After rule 43, the following rule shall be inserted, namely: -
“43-A Revision of Seigniorage fee, Area assessment, Dead Rent, and Prospecting fee. — The Committee consisting of the following members shall recommend to the State Government, the revised rates of Seigniorage fee, Area assessment, Dead Rent, and Prospecting fee once every three years.
• Appendix II, the following Appendix shall be substituted, namely: -
A. Rate of Seigniorage Fee.
B. Rate of Area Assessment.
C. Dead Rent.
D. Prospecting Fee for Granite
