The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) on August 28, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of “Toughened Glass for Home Appliances having thickness between 1.8 MM to 8 MM and area of 0.4 SqM or less” originating in or exported from China PR.
The following has been stated: -
•The procedure described herein below has been followed with regard to the investigation:
•The Authority notified the Embassy of the subject country in India about the receipt of the present application before proceeding to initiate the investigation in accordance with Rule 5(5) of the Anti-Dumping Rules.
•The Authority issued a public notice dated 30th September 2022, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, initiating an investigation concerning the imports of the subject goods from the subject country.
•The Authority sent a copy of the initiation notification to the Embassy of the subject country in India, known producers and exporters from the subject country, known importers/users, and the domestic industry as well as other domestic producers as per the information made available to it by the applicant association, and requested them to make their views known in writing within the prescribed time limit.
•The Authority provided a copy of the non-confidential version of the application to the known producers/exporters and to the Embassy of the subject country in India, in accordance with Rule 6(3) of the Rules. A copy of the non-confidential version of the application was circulated to the other interested parties.
