The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on August 28, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Display of Aadhaar Numbers on provisional, certificates and degrees issued by Institutions/Universities.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It was stated that no entity in possession of the Aadhaar number shall make public any database or record containing the same unless the Aadhaar number has been redacted or blacked out through appropriate means.
• The printing of the Aadhaar number on provisional certificates and degrees is not permissible.
